production meeting
Production meetings are ways of making sure information gets to the people who need to know, and that the necessary work on a play actually gets done. A production meeting is intended to get things done. It should involve a complete report and honest assessment of where every technical area of the production is at. It is a forum to make sure that everyone is on the right track, a way for under-performing crew members to be identified and assisted or replaced. Every department should issue a progress report (even if the same person is responsible for multiple areas), and their progress should be matched against the production schedule to make sure they are on track. At this time, the director should approve (or schedule a time to approve) props, costumes or other technical work being done, and any discrepancies between the director/designer/technician interpretations of the design worked out. Once the reports are given any shortcomings should be openly and frankly discussed, and a plan to address them should be decided upon. Time is the most important resource when working on a play, so it’s important to make sure that problems get dealt with now – before you get to tech week, when it’s too late to fix them right.

In my role as fundraiser I was responsible for raising
money on behalf of the show . as being on the Fundraising team its my job to
bring in the money. Using a range of promotional methods and campaigns, you’ll
work hard to raise money either from generous individuals or secured grants. I felt
like I found my self;
1.
Developing strategies and setting goals to hit
fundraising targets.
2.
Finding people to donate money
3.
Keeping in touch with existing
donors and stakeholders
- Budgeting
incoming and outgoing money (very much like life)
- Writing
proposals that could attract money, including applications for grants
- Preparing
and giving presentations (hello PowerPoint)
- Liaising
with the fundraising team
- Overseeing
events and campaigns
I felt like I handled
my role with efficiency as I emailed Jacob asking him for the posters what
showed organisation and independence.

Week 1- asda/Tesco/Sainsbury
cake sale ( well ask the school for 30 pounds and we will sell cakes and
sweet and we will give the school back the 30 pound and the profits will go to
the show.)We would also have a iPod dock in which we would play live music to
attract the croud.to help promote the cake sale we would go round to tutor
group to give information /talk about it in assembles and posters.
Week 2 - staff car wash, 5 pound a car .we could make
little posters/fliers and stick them on the car windows
Week 3- movie night
We will hold this event in the lecture theatre in which we would charge
£2.50 and we will also have a tuck shop in which we sale popcorn, sweets and
drinks at reasonable price.as far as the seating arrangement/layout we are
deciding on having a more relaxed approach with a sleepover feel by having
cushions on the floor or chairs.
Week 4- A open mic show we hold auditons so people perform their
original pieces And we charge one pound for the show.
Week 5- (merchandise)
we could sell jumpers in which the public can decide what they want on
the jumpers e.g someone may want their name and friends name or their birthday
so they decide hwat they put on it.
Week 6– we could hold a pound show in which we would
hold a competition within our theatre group asking who can come up with the
best idea to devise an creative piece of theatre. Me and andrea will be co –
directors and the winner will direct the devise piece. We’re holding it in week
7 because it gives us enough time to prepare.

Proposal,
Dear ms
goodall,
I would like
to apply for the job role of fundraising within the marketing team. i have a light free relaxed personality,
so I feel I am friendly and approachable. I have throughout my life embarked and thrived on being a part of the
theatrical world and in doing so has been an on-going student at the Battersea
Arts Centre and Italia Conti. I have previous experience of fundraising in
which I have helped raise money for dance shows at my dance company and in 2010
I won a prize for collecting the most amount of people to come to our theatre
show during the London riots so I had to use my persuasive skills to prove to
the public theirs young people doing good in the area.im confident and sociable
so the type of skills I can provide is the ability to listen well to others and
respond accordingly to the situation.I have
exceptionally good communication skills which I have developed through various
theatre projects particularly spoken word sessions. I am approachable and
friendly so I’ll be well suited in the aspect of meeting and greeting guests’.im
fairly good at maths so I would be prepared to help with the finance and collecting money from sponsors.
im very organised
and I feel everyone deserves a chance to have an input within the team so I
would create a suggestion box where we would have a check in and check out
meeting and the ideas of my peers would be discussed in the suggestion box
would also have a diary to keep all my dates and events that helps keep my
organisation skills up to standard. I’m
good at working in a team and Im in a music company so im aware of how to be in
a team’s have a range of ideas to bring to the table like pound shows, selling
merchandise, cake sales, advertisement jumper.
My overall performance within and out of school has given me the
recognition of being awarded the Jack Petchey Award; due to my on-going
dedication, able to work independent or within a team context, my willingness
to attempt a task willing to try with the risk of failing but with the
determination of succeeding, hardworking and indeed my passion and commitment
that has ensued my positive wellbeing.
