My production role was fundraising. I was excited
when I got offered the role being a part of the fundraising team as that is the
job I originally applied for. Within the job applicant my role was to
raise money for our production by doing numerous fundraising events, I feel like
within my production role I had both strengths and weaknesses and
feel there are things i could of done better and would change if i had the
opportunity to do this production role again.
i felt like my weaknesses where that i could of been more proactive. If I was going to do this role again in the future I think I would do different is that I had all these good ideas with good plans how to do them but I never actually got round to perusing my ideas into action.
i felt like I was efficient
and I researched my job in detailed to what it entails and what I need to do In
order to be a good fundraiser. I looked up my job description and I made sure I
was meeting the criteria. I feel like as being a fundraiser my strengths were
that I was organised and I communicated well with other member in my team and
production. I feel that I’m proud of the fact that I done good planning and I
felt I was very organised and efficient. I’m also proud that I was able to
think of creative ideas in how to fundraise money and I made a detailed
timeline of when and where each event would happen. I felt like if I got the
opportunity to for fill my ideas into action I had a clear plan of how I would
raise money and anyone could read my plan and understand my visions clearly. I
had to overcome obstacles like the fact that on my time like I planned to do a
cake sale on a certain day e.g. a Wednesday however when I went to book a slot
in the foyer it wasn’t available. So the plan had to change and I had to email
everyone like the marketing team to change the poster and the arranged help to
tell them the day had changed.
I feel the type of
skills I used in my job role was my confidence to talk to member of staff and
by offering my services I gained visibility's. I thought I had good
communication. I used my mathematical skills to calculate how much money I
would need for the show and each department.
